The steps we undertake in anything we do for you are:
1. Get to know your business and its energy consumption patterns.
2. Conduct a feasibility analysis based on all of the available data and our conversations with your key people.
3. Review of recommended strategies by our technical team.
4. Presentation of a full written proposal with costings and timeframe.
5. Obtain all required approvals and arrange implementation of strategies.
But that is not the end for us. We will always be there to offer back up support, on an as needs basis or under a formal maintenance agreement.
How do we get to know your business and needs?
The first step towards designing a commercial solar system is to understand your business’s energy needs. To do this we will carry out a detailed investigation of the energy usage at your site. There are two options for how this occurs. This may involve simply looking at the electricity consumption profile of your business or a more detailed Comprehensive Energy Consumption Report. Under the first scenario we will be primarily looking at how solar can save your business money. This will involve a detailed analysis of your energy consumption and a final assessment of what will be the most appropriate solar system for your energy needs.
Comprehensive Energy Consumption Report (Or Energy Audit)
A Comprehensive Energy Consumption Report, or energy audit, looks at all aspects of your energy usage ranging from lighting, efficiency of consumption and your tariffs, through to various technologies than can help reduce your annual energy cost.
There are three levels of Energy Audits, varying depending on the complexity and level of your business’s energy usage:
Level 1: This is a quick check on the level of energy use and is suitable for a household or as a starting point for a business and can be considered as a “simple” or “desktop” audit. Some high-level recommendations can be made for energy efficiency improvements.
Level 2: Small and large businesses alike, it provides a detailed assessment of energy usage. It includes analysis of consumption and demand data. There is an initial site visit involving management and operational personnel to gain an understanding of processes and any energy related issues affecting operations. A final report will detail recommended strategies with savings, implementation costs and a timeline.
Level 3: This is an extension of the Level 2 audit and involves a more detailed investigation of the energy use down to individual systems and equipment. A detailed investment analysis is provided as part of the written report that can be accompanied by a presentation to management and staff.
